M&S Exposes 1950s-inspired 2012 Bridal Collection

The Bridal Lingerie Collection, which will hit stores in February, is designed to make women feel confident, comfortable and glamorous on their big day with a combination of sculpting, support and style.

"Every bride wants to look immaculate for their moment in the spotlight. I believe that the perfect dress starts with the perfect underpinning to ensure that you celebrate your special day in style. We have designed this exquisite bridal collection to not only complement, but also enhance your special dress and to help provide that extra confidence boost on your wedding day," said Soozie Jenkinson, M&S head of lingerie design.

The 2012 collection combines silk with delicate, vintage-inspired lace and features intricate stitching detail.

Key pieces including a long line bra, glamorous waist cinching knickers, a shaping body, a basque and a multiway bra including DD+ sizes. Nightwear and hosiery have also been created for the collection.

In-store prices will start at £12 for silk knickers to £45 for a basque.
