As the season warms and we turn our attention to swimwear, I decided to catch up with international model, Nell Robinson to talk about her exciting new swimwear label, Bang!, which she founded with friend and business woman, Ann Marie Clarke. Together this fierce duo have launched an exciting and fashion-forward swimwear range that’s already caught the attention of celebrity fans and press around the world. Read on to find out a little more behind the brand, and what you should be packing in your beach bag this summer, from Nell, who happens to know beach life pretty well…

 

(TK) Nell, you’re best known for your work as a model, what made you delve into the world of swimwear design?

 

(NR) I model swimwear and lingerie on a regular basis and I have always found things I wanted to change with the bikinis I had to wear. If the fit wasn’t right, then there was a problem with the cut or the fabric. I decided to take things into my own hands and design a line myself.

 

You’re from Jamaica which means perfect beach weather most of the year, do you think that has contributed to your passion for swimwear?

 

Growing up on an island, I always had an affinity for the beach and a love for beautiful bikinis. Being surrounded by so many breathtaking beaches, swimwear has always been an important part of my attire and as a result this has been one of the biggest influences for me starting a swimwear line.
