Global Intimate Wear: Men’s designer underwear has become hugely fashionable over the last couple years, what do you think about it?
I don’t think there’s been such an explosion in design in men's underwear. True, in recent years many brands of men's underwear have been created, but if you look more closely, you’ll find very little has been invested in the design of their underwear.
Global Intimate Wear: Which brand do you think stands out from the others and why?
My favourite brand is ’HOM’, mainly because of the great consistency in the quality and design of their underwear.
Global Intimate Wear: Which styles are currently the most popular?
You might expect that to be the tight boxers, or trunks. Oddly enough, people are coming back to briefs, but as far as our brand is concerned, the jock straps are also immensely popular!
Global Intimate Wear: What inspired you to be a men’s underwear designer and create the ‘Modus Vivendi’ brand?
I think, when I was about eight years old, I decided to personally make underwear for myself... perhaps that shows that I was born with the inspiration.
Global Intimate Wear: What is the market positioning of Modus Vivendi underwear?
In one word I would say ‘evolutionary’. We have already won over a lot of customers, and our customer base is expanding every day!
Global Intimate Wear: Which do you pay more attentions for your underwear design: fabrics, styles or functions?
If I had to start somewhere, I would say primarily the style or design. I wouldn’t allow a single piece in the Modus Vivendi collection to be similar to something in another brand’s collection. Obviously, both quality and fit are priorities in the construction of any piece of underwear. Perhaps one of the secrets in the fit is that I personally make the first sample of each new design, and in this way I can create, in exact physical dimensions, each new inspiration.
Global Intimate Wear: How do you get the inspirations for the new collection?
I was inspired by the country where I live and work, by the people and terrain of Greece. From ancient times man has been the protagonist of history and mythology in Greece. The landscape, the sea, the mountains, the amazing climate, every corner, wherever you stand… everything is a source of inspiration that makes you want to create.
Global Intimate Wear: What kinds of trend sharing on the following designs?

Global Intimate Wear: Are there any developments in the world on your underwear brand that you are getting excited about?
The conquest of a reasonable position on the global market, one that primarily involves the people who care about and appreciate diversity and, whether or not it is to their taste, accept it. The truth is that more and more customers, supporters and fans of Modus Vivendi are sending us positive comments, and this is one of my dreams.
