According to the survey from Analysys International, China’s apparel industry has tightened its internet ads budge in last month, down 18.63% compared to the same period of last year.
 
Vancl, Moonbasa and Masa Masson are the top 3 companies that slash large amount of money on online promotion.
 
Vancl invested 299 million RMB on online ads in August this year, down 9.99% compared to the same period of last year. Moonbasa cut a large amount of budget on online ads, spent 121 million RMB in August this year, plummeted 32% compared to the same period of last year while Masa Masson put 59.81 million RMB in August, down 8.08%.
 
Apparel companies mainly use online ads to promote their online retail store and enhance brand awareness, accounting for 53.38% of all online ads, followed by shoes (14.84%) and sportswear (12.21%) ads. however, lingerie only account for 2.78% of all online ads in August, 2010.
 
Analysys International analyze that as summer apparel sales was in full swing in May and June, August sales will be plain as a result. So, many apparel companies have shrunken the cost and scope of online ads last month.
